What's the Best Meal You Ever Had on a Vacation?

What a great week for THE GODMOTHERS. My publisher designed this beautiful ad for the Sunday New York Times Book Review.

Also, I just had an interesting conversation with CNN's Alisyn Camerota when she interviewed me about THE GODMOTHERS. Among many other things, Alisyn and I talked about the significance of cuisine in both of my novels. (Newsweek said that THE GODMOTHERS is "A story perfect for devouring.")

Food and travel--how such memories delight us! Alisyn and I spoke about breakfast in Rome--how you can walk into a coffee bar and see those delicate little sandwiches, cut on the diagonal, freshly made--you point to the one you want, and it gets pressed in something like a waffle iron. Fantastic with a cappuccino or an espresso!
